Reno R. Mist
Violet Shaw was kidnapped at age 9 and died at 34 years old after being abused and used until she was to old for her captor. Violet remembers being killed, she remembers bleeding out.
Then she wakes up as Violet Shaw , a daughter of a wealthy loving family. With two lives living inside her. The Violet who was abused, and killed, and all the memories up until her death and the Violet who grew up loved, safe, cared for and privileged. Both lives living in one body, fighting against each other.
Violet is now attending a high end University on an equestrian archery scholarship. She is trying her best to be the college student and daughter everyone expects her to be. However, the memories of her previous life are still raw and real inside her, so she decides that the one way to make sure the memories wont haunt her anymore, is to kill the man who murdered her.
With all best laid plans, there is a complication. Albeit, a tall, rugged, handsome complication – Rowan. Her childhood friend who has decided to become a bit overly protective.
Rowan isn’t who Violet thinks he is, and this realization is what sparks their new dynamic. One that is less childhood friends, that annoyed each other, pushed together by their families. Now a relationship that is born of a likeness and a darkness they see in each other.
She is his ruin.
He is her salvation.
Together, they bring a future the gods fear.
This dark romance has twists and turns into the supernatural and paranormal that not only keeps you on your toes but keeps you drawn in. As the story progresses and the plot begins to unfold , you start to understand that what you think you know may just be another question that needs answered.
The romance isn’t just placed in for fluff or interest to the reader, it thoroughly does play a part in the character development of both Violet and Rowan.
The ending comes with more than one big cliffhanger, one very much involving more secrets, and one that shows Rowan is ready to do what it takes for Violet, even if its the one thing he swore he would never do again.
I cant wait to get my hands on book two, to see how gods and demons, shifters and vampyres, and all creatures alike tie into what the future holds.
