Nikki St. Crowe
Wendy Darling is getting married, Again. However, this time its her choice, her happiness, and her men. She is getting married not only to Roc, the future king of Darkland and Captain James Hook.
With Asha and James at her side Wendy has been wedding planning , and all is going well. That is until the morning before the wedding when James is kidnapped.
Who would be stupid enough to kidnap the boyfriend of the legendary crocodile ?
Devour the Snake is book Three in the Devourer series. A Romantasy retelling of Wendy, Captain Hook, and the Crocodile. This retelling is a spicy MMF , where happily ever after isn’t a dream any more, but a reality they are creating. That is , if they can track down James before the wedding bells ring.
This is a multiple POV , so we get to see the story unfold in the eyes of Wendy, Roc, and James. We get to see how they are all growing and learning to accept the love and happiness they deserve.
Getting to reunite with the trio was such an amazing surprise. The Devourer series was intended to be a duology, getting this book was the closure that was much needed. I was smiling and giggling through this whole book. Not only do we get more of our trio, we get to see a bit of Winnie, Vane, Pan , and the twins as well.
The ending gave me a giddy little happiness. There was a nice little twist that could play into maybe another story, or maybe , one can hope. I really would love to see more of the Maddered brother and their Darlings together.
Nikki St. Crow has a way of making you really connect with not only the characters, but also the world. I cant wait to step in to the next world, the world of Oz.
