This is Blue Lock but from Nagis point of view. If you enjoy the original story line this is a really cool way to re live the story for the first time.
The banter is top notch. Nagi is such a vibe in general. Who doesn’t just want to eat bread and play videogames?

Its great to see the connections between the characters from a different view. you get more of Nagi and Reo, the whole opposites attract thing is very apparent. Reo is determined and the more motivated of the pair. However Naji is a great player in his own right and does what he can so both of them shine.

Naji and Reo have two very stark different personality types and seeing them together is very much giving off black cat and golden retriever energy and Im here for all of it

This first volume gets in to the friendship between Naji and Reo and gets right up to the selection process. However it doesn’t go much past there.

It will be interesting to see how the selection and the first bit of this process goes through this view point as we have seen what is to come and its not all sunshine and rainbows or bread and games.

The art is very true to the original and brings you right into the world of blue lock.
