“It’s okay if you like.. plants”
I didn’t know how much I needed this story until I got my little goblin hands on it. I devoured this volume like it was my job. This was a webtoon I had skipped over reading in the webtoon app and feel awfully stupid now for doing so. The artwork is stunning, from the actual character art to the color pallet and the scenery, it all draws you in and sets the mood.
Camille is a young witch who lives with her aunt and her cousin after losing her twin sister and her mother in a fire when she was very young. Before the fire she had lost her father in an accident. Shes been repressing her true self ever since the fire. She feels as if who she is and what she can do is never going to be good enough for her aunt and the rest of her family.
A series of events leads her in to discovering the truth about herself, her family, and the world of witches that she thought she knew, but is learning she knows very little about.
As Camille discovers herself, her heart, her family things start to take a turn for the better, and somewhat more chaotic.
This is a world of witches, familiars, demons and more. There is so much love, diverse representation and acceptance.
I’m rooting for Camille to find her path in this magical wonderful witchy world. The Cliff hanger has me hanging on and reaching for volume two!
