Chess is the second installment of the Vampires in wonderland series.

I toughly enjoyed book two just as much as book one.

The vampires in wonderland series is a paranormal, dark and spicy retelling of our beloved wonderland. Although this is based off of wonderland, THIS IS NOT FOR CHILDREN!

Will the villainous prince of red and the virtuous queen of ivory be able to work tother for a common goal, take out Rav?

Chess is the known vicious prince in the kingdom of Red. Currently he is on the run as Rav thinks he is responsible for killing his own mother, Imogen. Chess is trying to prove his innocence. Will he be able to work with the Ivory queen, or will he cross her for his own means?

Ever is the Queen of Ivory, she’s been on the run from the rulers of red for the last few years. The last time she saw Chess he was trying to take her throne, on the orders of Imogen and Rav. The kicker is Rav is her brother.

Ever returns to wonderland at the safehouse after receiving word that Imogen is dead, Maddie has freed Mouse, and they are in one of the safe houses waiting for her to return.

Everything is falling into place for Ever to reclaim Ivory, as long as she can bring down Rav.

This installment of Vampires in Wonderland is dark and seamy. The chemistry and tension are fantastic. The whole will they / wont they, and twists in this journey will have you hooked, well…at least they had me hooked. We get to see all of our favorites from Maddie (book one) and meet some new friends along the way.

The ending to this made my heart happy and I was so eager to read book three (Knave) that I jumped into it the very next day.
