Synopsis
Fairy Tail follows Lucy, a celestial wizard, as she joins the infamous Fairy Tail guild and embarks on adventures with Natsu, a fire dragon slayer (searches for his adoptive father, the dragon Igneel ) and his talking flying blue cat named Happy. They encounter rival guilds, explore the magical world of Fiore, and uncover their own personal stories and the history of Fairy Tail, while battling villains and making allies.

My Review
Fairy Tail is broken up in to various Arcs. Each arc has its own plot and story line however they do play in to the larger running plot as well. Please see the table below for the arcs and the episodes they cover.
Fairy Tail is a great story on found family and the power of believing in yourself and your friends.
You’ll notice that the animation and graphics get better through the show. However the over all feel of the show pretty much stays the same.
I love how the characters are written , every one is unique and has their own abilities as well as strengths and weaknesses. The relationships and interpersonal growth in characters is always paced and not just sudden changes in personality. The magic system is well thought out and constant. The world building is fantastic.
The way story lines and information given in the early arcs then connect and play a big role in to the arcs later on is masterfully done. There is rarely Fluff or unneeded information given.
There are very little filler episodes i believe most lie in the Daphne, Key of the starry sky and Eclipse Celestial Spirits arcs. These are the arcs that we not written in to the original manga series.
I typically like reading or watching prequels first, however for this one i do think that the prequel is well placed, at this point you really get to know the guild and what it stands for in its time and the prequel shows how it got its roots and really moves forward the Avatar and Alvarez arcs in a good pacing.
Fairy Tail remains one of my comfort shows and an anime I think is under rated. Its a great one for some one who is just dipping their toes in but wants a full flushed out story.
We get into Fairy Tail 100 year quest on the last episode but it does not take away from the ending of the original series.
