This is a fractured fairy tale based on Hamlet or Lion king ( also based on Hamlet ). Tristan Faasa was the second born son to the king, He was bullied and tormented through his childhood by his brother Michael. The story very much follows Hamlet where their father dies and Michael is set to take the throne. Tristan has no intention of allowing his brother to rule.

Tristan has plans set in motion to steal the throne from Michael. This plan starts to go astray when Sara arrives at the castle.

Sara is betrothed to Michael. However, Sara has her own plans to eliminate the Faasa family even if it costs her life.

Little do Sara and Tristian know they are both after a very similar goal.

Scarred is a period royal romance, That is dark and spicy.

After I read hooked I knew I was in for a treat , however, I absolutely ate this up, i liked hooked a lot but i LOVED this. For context i do like hamlet as well so this was right up my alley.

Tristian is top tear on the dark romance boyfriend list. Dark, Possessive, Feral ,and will get on his knees and bow to the one he wants. The chemistry between them was amazing. Hes the prime example of i will burn it to the ground for you and let you bask in the glory.

“You could burn down the entire kingdom until it’s nothing but charred rubble, and I would crawl over the embers with glee, so long as I could worship at your feet.”

Sara is not your average noble lady, shes a badass. She knows her goals and what she wants and nothing will come in the way of that.

“She’s strong-willed. She’s fire. She’s the devil, parading as a snake, convincing people to eat the apple. Ma petite menteuse… My little liar.”

This is a slow burn, but not to slow. Enemies to lovers. Spicy romance. I Very often stick to fantasy romance because, well the men are better that way , but Tristian , makes me want to jump back in time and be called my lady with all of my heart.
