**This is my first 5 star read of 2025 and one of my favorite 5 starts of all my 5 stars**
Nightstrider is a paranormal fantasy adventure to stop the demon takeover; humans and nightmares team up to work together for what’s in the best interest of everyone, and maybe find a little more for themselves too.
This is written in a Four person POV. I really enjoyed how she paid up the POVs , its done in a Two set of Twos POV. Her writing it this way really grants you to get different perspective changes. Seeing the story develop as well as how they see each other really does bring it all together.
When writing and budling multiple worlds a lot of times things feel muddled or lost or the connection isn’t clear. This is not the case. Both were very well developed. The link between is very clear and masterfully done. Think of
Pacing wise I think this was really well paced. At some points I wanted more info and more history but I think we will get that more with book two. The world is beautifully crafted as is the magic system. I didn’t ever feel like there were holes in the plot, world, characters or the development of character relationships.
The enemies to lovers is an oldie but a goodie for a reason, this was really well done. If you like natural born enemies and reluctant enemies to lovers you’ll adore this. The romance was a great subplot but wasn’t the whole story. The banter is top notch and had me giggling and smiling to myself like a fool at points. The found family vibes you get in this book as well just make my heart happy.
This is one of my top reads so far for the year and likely will remain that way. Maybe one of my favorite fantasy books, period.
I really wish i could get my hands on book 2 tomorrow, but i will wait patiently and scoop it up
