Harper L. Woods
Willow is a witch who has been waiting and planning to come into her full witching powers, to do this she has to apprehend the bones of her long-gone ancestors. Willows mother has recently passed away and she’s taken in by the headmaster of Hollows Grove University.
Hallows Grove is hiding something, and that something is attacking the students.
Along with the secrets and mystery there is also romance. Be warned this is a dark romance / dark romantasy / paranormal romance, trigger warnings are available. I do recommend checking trigger warnings for anyone new to these genres.
If you enjoy shows like supernatural with more “witchy vibes” I think this will be a great book for you.
Gray has a lot of Dean Winchester, but more possessive vibes and I’m here for all of that.
Spice level is about a 2/5 – at least on my personal scale.
The Coven hits the action quickly, not a whole lot of “fluff”. These characters will take you by surprise as the twists keep coming. This is part one of the series, and the ending leaves you wanting to pick up book two immediately.
The writing style itself is great, and I will be reading more books by Harper L Woods.
-Additional note: The book itself is bloody beautiful! The cover is gorgeous, and the sprayed edges are wonderful.
Thank you NetGalley and Bramble for the copy for my honest review.
